Young Adult Panel

Caitlin Ballinger, born and raised (and currently working) in Akron, Ohio, Caitlin has been attending SI diligently since 2007 with her first taste of the SI magic having been in 2003. She’s previously served as a Youth touch group leader, Youth Panel chair, Young Adult chaplain, and is now honored to be chairing the Young Adult Panel! Caitlin has a Bachelor of Musical Arts with a minor in Peace and Conflict studies from Bowling Green State University. She also loves being outdoors, hiking and backpacking, rock climbing, yoga, photography, reading, and general adventure and travel!
Nikki Hurlbut grew up in Aurora, Ohio but currently is at school at Bowling Green State University.  She is majoring in marketing with a minor in art.  She has been attending Summer Institute since 2004 and this summer marks the 13th one.  She has previously served on the youth panel and the young adult panel and has enjoyed giving back to a community that has given her so much.  In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, riddles, being active, photography and designing, and being silly.
Dalin Frantz grew up in Oberlin, Ohio but currently goes to school at Kenyon College.  He has grown up in the SI community and enjoys giving back by being in leadership.  He was on the youth panel and currently on his second year of being on the young adult panel.

Ryan Haker graduated from Manhattanville college in 2014 with communications, he has held different jobs in the travel industry. Recently relocating from New York City working for AAA right outside of Columbus. He has attended Summer Institute since 2000,this will be his 18th year. Participating in the youth group as a touch group leader, and running the frisbee workshop. He Enjoys many activities outside of SI including , swimming, ultimate frisbee, and being part of this great community!

Ashera Buhite has been attending SI sporadically since 2003.  This is her first year of a two year panel stint and she’s super jazzed about it.  She just finished up her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, so if you want to talk about relationship stuff, this is your chick.  She lives in Buffalo and is a founding member of the regional lady-centric magazine Qween City.

Aaron Bowie is from the Akron area and currently goes to the University of Akron.  He has been active in the SI community since he was younger.  After participating in the youth leadership, he has taken on the role as the Youth-Young Adult Liaison for the young adult panel.
